Introducing Rooms

From work to home to school, our phones are a key tool to how we each navigate and communicate throughout the day. The custom-built Oglethorpe County School System app makes it easy to stay up to date with district news and events.

Now, Oglethorpe County Schools is making it easier to stay in touch with district communication from that same app. Using the Oglethorpe County School System's app, you can easily switch from district and school information to Rooms.

Rooms can be accessed via the web as well. Parents and students can log into edurooms.com on a web browser once a login and password are set.

Rooms can be accessed on our district app, which is available for free and can be used from both Apple and Android phones. To access Rooms, you will need to create a login and password.

Teachers and students will use their district email to sign in via Google SSO.

Parents will receive an email invitation from accounts@edurooms.com to the personal email address on file. Be sure to check the Spam folder if it's not in Inbox!

If parents are not able to receive an invitation via email, printed instructions can be shared from any of the students' teachers on how to sign up!

Join us on the app with the following instructions:

  1. Parents need to download the Oglethorpe County Schools app - (Download through the App Store or Google Play)

  2. Wait for the invite from EduRooms that goes to their personal email address (that was given to your registrar). Register through this email. Complete the registration via a web browser before using Rooms. You can use your cell phone number to access as well.

  3. Go under the settings on your phone and allow notifications for the Oglethorpe County Schools app.

  4. Open the Oglethorpe County Schools app, toggle on Classrooms in the bottom right hand corner. Login with your personal email address or cell phone number.

  5. Allow time for the schedules to migrate to the app, allowing you to see your students' classes and Rooms to work where you can message their teacher and see posts and announcements. 

  6. Once you see your student’s schedule, click on the gear icon and allow notifications from within the Oglethorpe County Schools app for each desired campus.

  7. Now you should be able to see notifications when they come through!

If you are a teacher AND parent:

As a parent, log into edurooms.com on desktop, or the district's mobile app, being sure to click the toggle for Rooms. You'll use your personal email for this login.

As a teacher, log into id.thrillshare.com using your normal staff email for logging in or the Thrillshare mobile app.

For Translation:
If a parent logs in and selects Spanish as their primary language, everything that is sent to them will translate into Spanish if it is internal to Rooms: i.e. messages, announcements, etc. This also works when they sen messages to teachers. It will translate back to the primary language of the teacher.
